Since launching my firm I’ve posted several free legal documents on Docracy.
Docracy is an excellent resource for free legal documents. And for many small business owners, some free form documents can help in a pinch.
I don’t think form documents are the end-all be-all of your legal needs, so if you’d like me to look over a document here and there, let me know.
So far I’ve posted four public legal documents over at Docracy, and here’s a quick look at what they are.
You can find these documents by visiting my profile.
SEO Agreement
I drafted this SEO agreement in response to a document request over at Docracy.
I knew that the person asking for this document was looking for more than just a standard consulting agreement, but something specific to the Search Engine Optimization industry.
Since that’s an area I’m familiar with, I decided to jump in.
Simple Trademark Assignment Agreement
Assigning your rights in a trademark can actually be fairly simple.
That being said, I think it’s a good idea to discuss with an attorney about the validity of a trademark, particularly when negotiating to purchase or assign rights in a mark.
But the form document should be sufficient to transfer rights to a mark.
Trademark Cease and Desist Letter
More letter than legal document, this form would help you send a letter to someone who is infringing on your trademark rights.
The letter ends with a short area for the infringer to sign and agree to cease and desist use of your mark.
English/Spanish Services Agreement
Very often, we saw Hispanic people come into the clinic with unpaid wages claims.
Most of them had no documentation to prove the length of the project they worked on, or the price they were told they would be paid.
As a result, there wasn’t much we could do to help.
I created this bilingual services agreement to solve that problem.
