Jonathan is the third of twelve children and the son of an illegal immigrant. He comes from a large, boisterous family that can love and hate fiercely. He has a unique understanding of the challenges facing immigrants to this country, including fear and distrust of the legal system.
Before becoming an attorney, Jonathan worked as an appliance technician where he learned too much about traffic court. He knows from experience that even good, hard-working people sometimes need legal representation. He also knows that nothing in the world can bring us as much happiness or misery as our families can.
Jonathan is fiercely committed to protecting the interests of his clients and protecting their legal rights. Whether in Traffic, Criminal, or Family court, Jonathan is a strong advocate to have working on your side.
Jonathan graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law and was accepted to the Virginia Bar in 2015.
Jonathan has interned with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia. He also completed an internship in Chetumal, Mexico where he completed a course on criminal oral advocacy at the University of Quintana Roo. In addition, Jonathan has worked in corporate counsel and immigration law. Jonathan joined Tingen & Williams, PLLC in 2016.
